BRITCHES
Before
1962 NAVAJO BRITCHES (Whistle Britches x Trammels Rusty) earned
more than 100 first place halter titles and championships.
His honors include grand champion aged stallion at the 1958
National Show in Hutchinson, Kansas, and the 1960 reserve
champion get of sire title at the National Show in South Sioux
City, Nebraska.
NAVAJO
BRITCHES sired 367 registered Appaloosa foals. In the show
pen, NAVAJO BRITCHES’ get include eight performance point
earners that tallied two registers of merit, one bronze medallion
and three superior achievement certificates.
But
it was as a racehorse and race producer that NAVAJO BRITCHES
earned legendary status. He held the Appaloosa leading sire
of money earners title from 1963 through 1968. His abilities
earned him Appaloosa Racing Hall of Fame induction for 2002.
Although
statistics are incomplete due to pari-mutuel racing’s suspension
in the Oklahoma are for six years that NAVAJO BRITCHES’ get
raced, his 50 race starters earned a combined recorded $82,496.29
on the track, sixteen claimed wins and seven claimed stakes
