L.W. “Bill” Moore served as an Appaloosa Horse Club director for 18 years, including a term as president from 1966 through 1979.  He was a chairman of the racing committee and the first president of the National Appaloosa Racing Association.  He was an eloquent speaker and conducted many registration seminars.  His commitment and attention to detail helped the club progress in many areas.  Appaloosas bred by Mr. Moore became show champions and race winners.
