A partner in the Double R Ranch in Zachary, Louisiana, Laura Richardson developed a breeding program defined largely by the 1970 mare Love Affaire, a daughter of Wapiti Jr's Hand.  The mare produced multiple World and National champions, earning a Bronze Production Plaque in 1983.  Richardson takes pride in the quality and color of her horses.  "I say there's not but one kind of good horse," she's quoted as saying, "and that's a horse with correct confirmation."
