A breeder of Appaloosas for more than 40 years, Jo Warren of Langle, British Columbia, served as director and president for the Canadian Appaloosa Horse Club.  Warren often-toured Canada to help form regional clubs and contributed to the club's magazine regularly.  For many years, he donated a mink stole to the United States National show high point lady exhibitor and currently offers the Joe Warren Jade and Silver Medallion to the Supreme Halter Champion at the Canadian Nationals.  Warren, who has been called Canada's Mr. Appaloosa, also produced many Canadian and U.S. National champions and brought the first "Bright line" of horses to western Canada.
