Impress The Court

Impress The Court (Ward of the Court x Leisure Investment, AQHA), a 1993 mare owned by Earl Jr. and Ronna Steinert of Springfield, Missouri, was bred by Richard and Betty Lowry of Rockingham, North Carolina.

Impress The Court enters the ApHC Hall of Fame for her production record. The Steinerts bought “Court” at a National Show auction because mare had success in the show ring and had the potential to pass along her winning attributes to her foals, which she did successfully — six times.

“Court” earned 106.5 points in her halter career, plus 54.5 youth halter points and 47 non-pro halter points. The mare also earned a register of merit, a youth register of merit, a superior event title, and was a year-end top 10 finalist in halter classes in the 1994 – 1996 seasons.

Court has produced six registered foals so far in her broodmare career. Together, they’ve earned 740 halter points and 13 registers of merit; five have earned seven bronze medallions and one silver medallion, one has earned a Club championship title and one holds a versatility championship.

Two of Court’s outstanding offspring are 2003 stallion Supreme Court Dream and 2001 stallion Ima Midnight Dream, which are both by Heza Dreamer. At just 2 years old, Supreme Court Dream has earned 275.5 halter points, two registers of merit, two bronze medallions for year-end high-point titles — 2003 in halter, weanling colt and 2004 in yearling most colorful at halter —and two superior event awards. Ima Midnight Dream, a 2001 stallion, has earned seven registers of merit, 101 halter points and 96.5 performance points in cattle classes, along with a superior event title.

“Court’s small, but produces big babies,” Earl says. “She’s an exceptional producer and we plan to keep using her as a broodmare.”
