Dominos Eclipse
- Dominos Eclipse (Shavano Frosty’s Domino II x Smoke’s April Sue), a 1984 mare, was bred and owned by Jim Schwisow of Milton, Wisconsin.
With Roger Johnson aboard, Dominos Eclipse earned a register of merit and 15 open points in senior reining. She also placed eighth as a 1988 year-end finalist in junior reining, eighth as a 1989 year-end finalist in senior reining, 10th as a 1989 year-end finalist in working cow horse and earned her register of merit in senior reining in 1989.
Dominos Eclipse has produced eight registered foals. Five earned 1,385 performance points. The mare’s 1994 filly, Taps Fyrsprite JS, earned eight registers of merit, five superior event titles and 468 points in cattle events and reining. Of Dominos Eclipse’s foals, five earned 29 registers of merit, four earned 12 superior event titles in performance, three were versatility champions and combined, the mare’s offspring earned 18 bronze medallions.
Dominos Eclipse produced a 2004 foal and Jim plans to breed her again in spring 2005, continuing her broodmare career.
“She’s a remarkable mare,” Jim says. “I’ve been lucky in that her bloodlines have matched well with the stallions I’ve bred her to.”
