Of Deep South’s 414 get, 150 were race starters that earned $899,665.20. Sixty-nine were winners, 19 won stakes races, 33 placed in stakes races and 33 earned racing registers of merit. His foals won 13 medallions; eight earned champion awards; two earned supreme champion awards; three earned regional champion awards; and 21 won 26 bronze medallions. Some of Deep South’s outstanding get include Little Lady Oh, a 2004 Racing Hall of Fame inductee who had a record of 18-16-1-0 and earned $119,354.93. Another talented Deep South descendant was Bart-T’s Man, who had 38 starts, 20 wins, 10 places and three shows and won a racing register of merit and a bronze medallion.

According to Stephanie Thelen, who nominated Deep South for the Hall of Fame, “Deep South’s get are easy to get along with, willing to please, talented and pretty. They’re showing in English, jumping, hunter in hand, games, cattle, pleasure and racing. This embodies the Appaloosa characteristic ‘versatile.’
