Charles Russel

Charles Maron Russell (1864-1926), one of the world’s eminent sculptors and artists, recorded western history with inspiration and fidelity.  His work often depicted the realistic use of the Appaloosa with a universal appeal to both eyes and emotions.  Many of his painting highlighted the relationship of the Appaloosa to the American Indian.  From his home in Montana, he recorded history in the making of forever immortalized the legend and legacy of the Appaloosa horse.
