A successful auctioneer, breeder and promoter, Dobbin worked to build a national sale and focused on marketing techniques.  He also served as a director for 12 years, from 1961 to 1973, and as Vice-President in 1963.  Dobbin was the owner of Bright Eyes Brother, one of the great sires of the breed and also a Hall of Fame inductee.
