BLOWING EASY

The top Cal-bred race horse from 1985 to 1989 and the second leading Appaloosa money-earner of all time, BLOWING EASY had a phenomenal career on the track, marked by major stakes wins and high speed ratings.

From 1985 to 1991, BLOWING EASY chalked up victories in major races such as the Cal-Bred Futurity, Valley Racing Derby, California Coast To Coast Stakes, Silver & Gold Invitational Handicap and Pleasanton Handicap, along the way setting track records and earning speed ratings as high as 103.

With the ability to lead the pack from wire to wire or come from behind to cross the finish line first, BLOWING EASY earned the supreme three-year-old and older champion award in both 1986 and 1987.

The bronze medallion-winning runner was the winner of the first $100,000 race in California and the first Cal-bred horse to earn over $250,000. In addition, BLOWING EASY was recognized as a Superior Cal-bred racing champion and was the first three-year-old to win the Coast To Coast Stakes.

The runner’s record stands at 21 wins, seven places and six shows for 48 starts, with $260,798 in earnings.
