Anna Clare Chesebrough

Anna Clare Chesebrough was a driving force behind the Appaloosa industry and youth movement in the Northeast from the early 1970s to mid 1980s. Chesebrough served as a director for the Northeastern and Empire Appaloosa Associations, organizing youth team tournaments, queen contest and serving as a queen advisor.  In 1972 she teamed up with rising star Terry Thompson and together they put together one of the finest performance horse programs in the country. Standing Chuck-A-Luck Charge and looking to the bloodlines of Absarokee Sunset and Rustler Charge for her mares, Chesebrough produce more than 80 National and World champions. Over the years Chesebrough Stables became known for its reining, Western riding, pleasure and youth horses.  On June 3, 1998, Anna Clare Chesebrough passed away following surgery.
