Foaled in 1962, owned and bred by Glad Draper of Utah, War Don was the racing champion two-year-old colt in 1964.  He was a multiple stakes winner and world record holder for 440 yards.  War Don was consistently in the top three as a leading sire of winners and money earners from 1977 through 1982.  

He is also the seventh leading maternal sire of ROM winners from 1980 through 1987.
