Foaled in April 1959, Dawndee became a racing and halter champion as well as a producer of Hall of Fame racing champions.  Winning nine of her 17 officially recognized Appaloosa starts, Dawndee was the first mare to receive an AAA rating.  In 1966, after producing three foals and in foal again, Dawndee won four of the seven races in which she started and set an Appaloosa World Record for 640 yards.
